A little,  Gene Palmer BIO here:

Prior to coming to Davis Monthan AFB (DM), I was stationed at Seymour-Johnson AFB in NC as a B-52 and KC 135 Tanker crew chief and a year later as a Quail ADM-20C crew chief.

I was at DM from 1966 thru 1975  Worked on all models from the BQM-34a to the 154. Did a lot of TDY's to Bien-Hoa from 1967 to 1969, Osan Dec. 71 to April 72, U-Tapao 72 and 74. I packed up all the drones at U-Tapao when the war was over in 75. Also many TDY's around the US including Holloman AFB,  NM, Edwards AFB, CA. Eglin AFB, FL. and Hill AFB UT. In between all that I went to Chanute AFB, IL and later to Lackland AFB, TX to write the promotion test for the 44 missile career field. Also managed to squeeze in the Academy at Barksdale AFB LA. in 1969.

After leaving DM in OCT.1975,  I PCS'd to Minot AFB. ND. There I was the Maintenance Supv for the 91st. FMMS Minuteman II, after two years with the 91st, and  a trip to Gunter AFS, AL for the Senior NCO Academy and promoted to CMSGT,  I was selected to be the Maintenance NCOIC for the 57th Air Division, we were  responsible for the maintenance of the Minuteman II for Minot and GrandForks AFB. and a Satellite at Concrete, ND.

Then  another vacancy became open and at the request of Brig. General Light the commander of the 57th AD. I was selected to be the Senior Enlisted Advisor for the 57th AD. Now I was responsible to keep the Division commander advised as to the moral, health and welfare of about 55,000 troops. Did many speeches at airman leadership graduation classes, etc. Retired from Minot AFB with a great squadron retreat ceremony, lowering the flag that had flown all day, folded. given to Brig. Gen Stanley Beck and then presented to me. Later that evening Gen Beck and his lovely wife Betsy had a dinner at the O club with all my family and people I had worked with for five years.

I currently work for the U S Postal Service as a window clerk. I will have 26 years with the Postal Service this Dec.07.
